✨ don't use 'triggered' when you mean 'upset' ✨

@AgathaSorceress Does this happen much? Asking as someone who spent a long time not understanding when I was being triggered and not just upset

@ghost_bird in some cases it can just be annoyance or anger and in some cases it can be related to trauma and can feel very different from just being upset

that's,, pretty much the difference

@AgathaSorceress Now I understand what being triggered is, I can tell the difference. But I guess what I’m asking is if we’ve reached a point where people are saying they’re triggered to mean they’re upset? Or are you just thinking of the way edgelords talk?

@ghost_bird yeah, I've seen lots of times when even well-meaning people did that
