@kara i (for the most part) dread steven universe discourse, and it kept me from catching up on it for a long time. i just went back and rewatched all of it with my girlfriend and it was rewarding.

tbh im still waiting for more to happen with lapis, im being patient but it is pretty difficult to watch her walk all over peridot time and time again without any actual resolution.

i really loved the amethysts and jaspers on homeworld omjeesus. also the topazes were the best character. aquamarine was terrible wtf. but i did like the darla dimple & max dynamic they had i guesssss.

the gems make their bodies the way they want them, Ame has the body she has because she likes it, same goes for Bismuth
if one can take up pretty much any form, of course they will take the one that expresses their personality the best
and the show states it quite clearly that the CGs are not doing the things they were built for
