Distro posting yet again I'm sorry it is in my bio tho
If I ever get to have another usable computer in addition to my main laptop, if really like to have a Debian Stable or CentOS install on one of them. I like the idea of a system with rock-solid stability, but I'm generally not willing to trade the newer software. I'm a slut for version numbers, I'm sorry.

@webb I'm willing to give alternatives to systemd a try

@marie_joseph If you are then Void is amazing. LibreSSL and some default hardening is really nice. People say it's like a BSD-Linux hybrid.

@Michaelc that was actually the first Linux I tried when I wanted to get into it! I was scared to take the plunge, so I put puppy linux on a drive and played around for a bit.
I want to give it another try now that I'm more familiar with the ecosystem, though :3

@marie_joseph Back when I was on Void Linux I found things to be surprisingly stable. It might be worth a shot but you're giving up systemd.
