Thinking about these gut microbe shots they are selling. If these microbes are such excellent colonic soldiers, why do they need daily reinforcements? I can understand how they play a role in building back up people with harmed gut flora, but that would mean they are themselves in homeostasis. I mean, if they eat, they reproduce. If they don't, they're useless. I don't get how daily reirrigation with liquids containing yet more of them would be beneficial, except financially.
