Hi! I am also @email@example.com as you might have heard my instance was down for a couple of days, while I don't blame my admin I'm sure they did everything in their power to fix things, the incident made me realize I need a backup account, so here I am lol :)

How the pineal gland became an obsession for both spiritualists and sci-fi writers | Salon.com https://www.salon.com/2021/05/15/how-the-pineal-gland-became-an-obsession-for-both-spiritualists-and-sci-fi-writers/
radical self-affirmation, long, mystical?
Not being anxious about measuring up doesn't mean never question yourself or others, obviously. In fact, I think questioning and conversation become easier when they don't turn into tribunals, internal or external, of whether someone is good enough. Acknowledge the violent structures we live in and that you are part of it. You will always be imperfect and always mess up. You can't solve the problems of the world by yourself, which is an impossible standard that you can never meet. Do your part, and be humble about your imperfections and your smallness in the world.
At the same time acknowledge the wonder you are, a miraculous speck in the vast toss and turn, darting and drifting, sometimes crashing into others and setting off all kinds of unexpected chain reactions. You're not a savior or sinner, you're here and doing your best. Just be you, and try to make things a little better, be a friend to beings near and far.
Be open to how imperfect you are and how far you have to go, because it would be pretty lonely and boring if you were complete and perfect in yourself, wouldn't it? Fight, laugh, dream, grieve, love, learn, and above all join the dance. It's so little, and it's everything there is.
trans masc health psa, hrt and reproductive system, description of gross symptoms
just a reminder to trans men/transmascs on hormones that if you are not taking oestrogen supplements with your testosterone and are not planning to have a hysterectomy, your womb can begin to atrophy due to lack of oestrogen. this is bad, and it can eventually turn septic, and then kill you.
you may be lucky enough to have an endocrinologist that knows about this, but unfortunately in many countries like the UK many doctors don't even know this can happen.
it's recommended if you intend to stay on a full dose of testosterone for your whole life that you have a hysterectomy between 2 to 5 years after starting T, but if you want to keep your womb you need to talk to your doctor about your hormones and preventing atrophy.
* Pynk Spots, "How to be Productive as a Disabled, Chronically Ill, and/or Neurodivergent Person"
"I hate the word. I hate the entire concept. I think it’s rooted in meritocracy, I think it orients people’s self-value around what their bodies can produce for the State. I am defining 'productivity' as a violent capitalist concept against us, and our need to be productive as a need to survive, as an intent to survive, in a system that treats us with violence." "So don't worry, I haven't sold out."
You know what kind of advice this will be, but it’s good advice, and it’s always comforting and empowering to hear how other people manage problems similar to yours.
aint nothing like being visibly not cis in a public place to truly remind you how much cis people SUCK
