Hello ! here.

I like , , and biodiversity. I love tech but not cutting edge tech for the sake of it. That's a way to say that I use a 3… 😋 But I also regularly need some and . I like too.

I type on (a french keyboard disposition) on . I used btw, but after installing to everyone in my family, I now calmly run on a computer more than 10yo.

Have a good day!

Did you know that the green lawn that is so common today was originally a way for the landed gentry to show off their wealth? It was meant to imply the owner could afford to have all this land being non productive, setting them apart from those whose livelihood depended on what they could cultivate.
From the beginning, it was an ostentatious display of obscene wealth.

Système électoral et droit de vote

Quelques exemples :
• Les sans papiers
• Les étranger·es régulier·es
• Les mineur·es
• Beaucoup d'handicapé·es
• Les SDF
• Certain·es criminel·les
• ...
Y en a d'autres. Plein d'autres. Dans le lot il y a celleux qui n'ont purement et simplement pas (ou plus) le droit de voter. Il y a aussi celleux pour qui la société n'offre pas la possibilité matériel de voter, ce qui revient au même que de l'interdire.

The curb cut effect: for example, media descriptions right here on Mastodon help people who use screen readers, but they are also useful for explaining the joke for people who don’t get it, for translations of text, and for copy-pasting what would otherwise be just an image of text.

Trans people shouldn't *have* to be brave.

Trans people shouldn't *have* to be radical.

Making your entire existence a protest is *exhausting* for many, and not tenable for many more.

It should just okay to be trans.

But society is hostile to us, so I have no choice but to be radical about my own identity.

I would rather expend my energy on other problems, like helping others, rather than expending it on something that shouldn't be up for negotiation.

Ramblings on queer resilience

As communities, we should be better at not only giving love to our queer siblings but also teach them how to be their own guide, so they can rightfully brush away the ignorance. Reconnect to the inner child that hasn't been shamed into compliance. We need to go past telling people they're valid and beautiful but get them to know they are.

Ramblings on queer resilience

The problems begin when we lean into this external validation so much we forget to learn to trust and love ourselves, to be our own biggest supporters. We lose the capacity to be confronted with normies that do not provide the same level of validation. We seek acceptance from people who can't even comprehend our existence. We try to mold the entire world into becoming our support system.

Ramblings on queer resilience

With so many of us being taught very early in life to doubt our own feelings, we tend to rely on external validation an awful lot. A lot of queer communities are built on providing that validation to others, which is a nice crutch but still a crutch.

I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
As a blind person, this means a lot to me. If you read this and you describe your images, thank you so, so, so much on behalf of all of us. If you don't, now you know you'll be helping random Internet strangers make sense of your posts by typing in a few more words than usual.
