Want to view photos from an iPhone on your Linux PC but can't open those .heic image files?
For Debian-based distros like Ubuntu, it's as easy as:
sudo apt install heif-gdk-pixbuf
Now the default Image Viewer application can display .heic image files.

iPhone isn't the only one using that format; my Xiaomi Mi 10 also uses it ✌️😎
