I'm Shubham. A soon to be 32 year old trans*, queer feminist from Delhi, India. I'm new to Mastodon and I haven't used Twitter very actively in the past. I was looking for a safe queer and feminist friendly instance to join and found eldritch.cafe. Unfortunately I don't speak or read French, but I can always google translate. Looking forward to a great time ahead...

@shubhamboseroy Hello Shubham and welcome! I hope you'll like being here :).
And don't worry! Not only there is still plenty of people speaking English around here, but you can follow people who are on other instances.

@Sylvhem Haha Thank You! I'm already LOVING the interface design here.The colors are so warming and welcoming. And the little detailing of the various icons. It's like a jolly coven! :blob_heart_eyes:

@shubhamboseroy Thank you! That's what we were looking for ≧^◡^≦.

@shubhamboseroy
Welcome here !
I know nothing about trans communities in India :o
I'm more used to post in french but don't hesitate to ask if you want me to translate one of my posts.
And don't hesitate to ask if you have questions !

@Nocta
Hello! Thank you so much. Don't worry, I'll use auto translate first, and ask you help on specific words or phrases only haha! There's a lot to the complex dynamics of queer politics in India. November is also pride month in Delhi (and Bengaluru and Chennai). I'll post more updates in the subsequent days... 😀

@shubhamboseroy I think you will find a good home here. Mastodon has been such an important part of my queer community and my transition. Welcome!

@turtlebirb @requiem
Hello! Thank you so much! Looking forward to my time here! ❤

@shubhamboseroy
Some apps have machine translation built in btw, in case you find it cumbersome

@pootz

Oh interesting, I'll look them up. Thanks! I'm currently selecting the text on chrome browser and using the translate option...

@shubhamboseroy Not queer here. But my experience here has been that I've felt like a guest in a queer space. Which rocks. Thanks everyone.

@shubhamboseroy Welcome on eldritch.cafe!
I hope you'll have a great time here =)

@UnclearFuture

Thank you so much! Looking forward to it. Yeah I have been checking out translator apps. Honestly I'm so in love with the colors of eldritch cafe's UI on the browser, I don't feel like going anywhere else as of yet... Haha 🙈

@shubhamboseroy Sediments is your work? I absolutely loved it. Incredible!

@Lakshmi_sreeni

Hey... Ummm. I don't really have a preference. Formally people use they/them for me. 🙂
