$ do_the_thing() { do_stuff; do_other_stuff 1234; needs_the_args "$@"; do_final_stuff; }; do_the_thing some_arg other_arg


Who needs git for scripts when there is .bash_history, which allows for seamless modification and chronological versioning of the functions as you call them!
